I agree with the language ideas: improve the download of speech commands from striatum to the articulators. With the sensory integration issues involved in Down's I recommend the voluntary stuttering in the clinical environment: create pseudo stutters identical to client's and teach a pull-out. I presently have 7.5 year-old (w/Downs) who presented with profund blocking. According to her mother, her previous three years of stuttering therapy worked on turtle talk and never considered the intimate recreate and release of blocks. (I dream of being like Dean Williams one day). This girl began improving immediately. { I would not expect independent, intentional voluntary stuttering outside of the clinic with this population.} Again, great topic for ISAD.
