I found it interesting to read about the history of stuttering and the individuals who contributed to the development of different perspectives and theories about the causes and "cures" of stuttering. I didn't know before that stuttering is such an old disorder that it dates all the way back to ancient times. People have been trying to figure out what stuttering is, where it comes from, and how to cure it for centuries and yet, in modern times, we still don't know that much about it and it still largely remains a mystery, even though we've come a long way from those times. It's still a poorly understood disorder, including among the general public, with many myths and misconceptions surrounding it.
