To Steen Fibiger: I very much enjoyed reading about the history of stuttering. I remember reading about a German doctor, named Johann Dieffenbach, whom cut part of his patients' tongue to cure stuttering. This may have been whom you were referring to in your text. Can you tell me, historically, any other bizarre treatments that claimed to cure stuttering.
