Thank you for your comment and question. Stuttering is to a great extend caused by additive genetic effects. In case molecular medical therapy can change those genetic effects, stuttering might be reduced? Stuttering is also to some extend caused by individual-specific environmental effects affecting the neurological and behavioral development. So these environmental efects should also be alleviated. Finaly, the genetic-environmental interaction is also a possible factor! And as you might have understood, stuttering has been explained in many different ways during our history. You should also realize, that in molecular biological research, cancer research and therapy have more attention and ressources than stuttering research and therapy!
