Your article was very inspiring. I'm not a person who stutters, but a graduate student in speech pathology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I noticed that you based your character in your novel on a teenager who stuttered, instead of an adult or younger child, was this because your teenage years were the hardest time you faced as a person who stutters? And if so, how did you overcome that fear to pursue your dreams of attending college and becoming a writer, when so many people who stutter let their fear of stuttering limit their possibilities in life?
