Kim, I too cannot wait to read the book. I know a young teenager who I saw for therapy several years ago when she was a pre-teen. She was very emotional about her stuttering, and often cried when she came to see me. We have not seen each other for several years, for various reasons. However, I think of her often, and I believe she would relate to Cornelia (even though I haven’t read the book yet!). I am glad to hear that at the very least you gained some confidence from your speech therapist during those highly volatile years of development! Was it difficult for you to use the easy onset out in your every day life? I often wonder if my clients ever attempt some of the basic skills that we were taught would help. It must be difficult to force oneself to do something totally foreign to their routine! I am going to your website right now to order two books, one for me and one for my little friend. Perhaps it will help her to find a path to finding her voice. Thank you for sharing, and, isn’t it interesting that so many things we attempt in life turn out to be much more than we bargained for – but so good for us?? Carla
