As true to what you have said, your book is universal as adversity is universal. It is an inspiration to anyone who has hidden behind something, anything. I recently read an article about a woman who was born with a birthmark on her face and neck that was very conspicuous and caused her emotional pain throughout her childhood years and early teen years. As she became a young adult, she began to hide behind layers of makeup, and only after many years was she finally comfortable and confident to show her own skin and to be herself. She says in the article that after many years of hiding, she was finally free. Your story and her story are not much different. I find both of you encouraging and inspiring, no matter what the adversity may be, this book is a great resource for anyone who faces the challenge between being who they are and hiding behind someone they are not. As you have mentioned, these challenges can either "smother us", and rule our lives, or we can overcome them. I thank you for this contribution, on a professional and personal level.
