Thanks for your feedback. There have been about 5 articles or book chapters written, that I am aware of, on the topic of telepractice in stuttering therapy. All speak to the effectiveness of the approach. In our clinic, we have been doing telepractice for about 3 months, and have found it to be very much like "real therapy" in that we have both good video and audio communication with the clients (using SKYPE). The clients really like it, as do the clinicians, because it allows for continuity of therapy and carry-over from our summer program. In the past, clients would have to wait several months for follow-up therapy, either a two-day intensive or one day experience. This is much better. We are busy collecting data on four clients completing a follow-up program right now, and hope to report on their progress soon. Thanks again for your question.
