I can see how this would be a very effective approach to therapy. Putting the child in the role of the "expert" gives them feeling of control! I am very interested in reducing the teasing and bullying associated with speech and language disorders, and can see how difficult of an area it may be to address, especially in the area of stuttering. Once the story was published, was the child treated differently by peers? Was she seen as the classroom celebrity? Were they more understanding and accepting of the child as a person who stutters or a person with a cochlear implant? Thanks for your time! :)
