Apparently Senator Biden has done a lot of good work for the stuttering community in the past, so we should remember that and be grateful for it. But I don't think that his current run for VP has been of great use. For example, he has not promised to do anything for people with any kind of speech difficulty or disability. Yes, some of the things he said, when his candidature was first announced, did draw attention to how stuttering children are teased and how stuttering is misunderstood. But, after that, I got the impression that overcoming stuttering had been used as evidence for positioning him as a very strong character. And this is not useful either!
