Fantastic - thank you for those kind words. But what can we do about it? That's a bigger question because it's very difficult to see what the solution might be. Getting through to a wider, non-PWS, audience is the key. Although my first video on YouTube, Stammering Is No Joke, seems to have been quite successful, it has only been viewed by about 34,000 people - which may look like a big number, but is actually nothing! So I'm planning another video, which will be on the subject of talking to others, which I will probably put up some time next week. If I can get some exposure for it in the media, like I did with No Joke, it might have some little pinprick effect. Trouble is that the stuttering organisations have no money, so they can't afford to advertise and promote awareness, so, in a very media-driven world, we are simply overlooked. So we are reduced to doing whatever we can without the budget we would need to help us make it bigger and better.
