Principle #4: Help People Who Stutter Accept Their Stuttering. Thanks for a very interesting article. I'm a PWS and I'd like to ask about voluntary stuttering in relation to this principle: what do you think its role is? It seems to have helped me immensely - if I can voluntary stutter in a situation I know I can speak in that situation without problems. It feels like I've got 2 sides: one the stuttering side and the other the fluent side; if I can satisfy the stuttering side with regular doses of voluntary stuttering this allows my fluent side to be revealed without constant worry of "losing it". I'd be very interested in your views. Thanks, Steve.
