Hi Dana, Thanks for your kind words ... I wish I could have a definite answer for you, but my memory is a little clouded over the years. I seem to recall that there was a core group of us who were delighted to participate right from the start, but Jan says there are still those who are reluctant to do this, both people who stutter and students. She beats on the students, and I beat on our NSA chapter members. Right now my guess is that we have about a 90% success rate on both sides. From our chapter members, some of them claim time problems (and who am I to argue with that?) but almost EVERYONE who participates thoroughly enjoys the experience! ... From purely a therapeutic angle, when a person who stutters finally gets up the courage to talk about it, it lifts a HUGE weight of his shoulders. But getting up that courage takes lot of guts, especially for people new to this whole process. I'm sure we will continue to have people who never reach that point. But we keep trying. That's what we're all about. ..... Thanks for your question. It's a good one! ... Russ
