I think this is a great idea for SLP students. I am a grad student and one of the hardest things about entering the field of speech-language pathology is that you cannot possibly experience or practice everything that you may encounter out in the real world. Any projects that give us more real experience and knowledge as practicing clinicians is great and the most beneficial in the long run. My question is, what is the best way to make someone feel comfortable during a clinical interview? What should you do if someone is clearly uncomfortable or anxious about sharing specific information about themselves and their stuttering? If you are unable to gain specifics about things such as when stuttering began, how severe it is, how he/she is dealing with it, it will be more difficult to provide relevant information in the diagnostic report, know where to begin therapy, and choose effective strategies.
