Rick, thank you for your comments. I studied speech pathology at Osaka University of Education and taught there later on. My professional career is based on my 43 years of self-help group activities, and I also learned different approaches to stuttering from psychiatry, social psychology, clinical psychology, and drama as well as speech pathology. In Japan, speech therapists are trained either at universities or technical schools. Many people learn at technical schools and obtain licenses for speech therapists. I am teaching at five of those technical schools as well as teaching at university.
