This was an excellent paper and I think it touched on a very important topic. While some teachers may feel that they are eliminating embarrassment for the child who stutters by removing them from a production or not calling on them in class, in reality they are sending a message that stuttering is negative. It is important that teachers be educated on this topic so as not to stifle a child’s self-expression. Thank you so much for the insight.
