I found your paper to be very informative. I am currently a graduate student and hope to work in the educational system as a speech language pathologist (SLP). As you mentioned, often children who stutter go unnoticed because of the teacher’s lack of knowledge about stuttering. You made me realize how important it will be for me as an educational SLP to provide information regarding stuttering to teachers and other school faculty as a way of mitigating this problem. Once stuttering is recognized, the student will be able to receive the support he or she needs. I also enjoyed reading about your personal experiences with stuttering and am curious to know what facilitated the development of your positive attitude and assertiveness in regards to stuttering.
