It depends on the child. Some children who have realized that it is all right to stutter suddenly begin to give presentations, recite, or even speak up in front of a larger group. There are other children who undergo several steps before they take these actions. It is not the point to be able to give presentations or read out loud without stuttering. What is important is to be able to do so even with stuttering. This will eventually change the behavior of stuttering.
