This article was very interesting to me because someday I would like to work with children in a school setting. The article brought some things to my attention. First, a child could stutter less and still be just as afraid, or more afraid, of stuttering. Secondly, the story he had of when he was in elementary school and his teacher removed him from the play. Like he said, all he got from his teacher was the message, ‘Do not stutter.’ These are two things that I want to remember and not practice when I am a real SLP!
