Brian, good to hear from you. Katie had phonemic triggers, such as /k/. Punctuating stuttering on her name with frustration and/or embarrassment was the driving force. We reframed introductions and meeting new people. The old "if I stutter on my name, people will think I am weird" was replaced with "I am more than stuttering and I will not mindread people." Her 'well-formed outcome' (goals) were things like: "I want to talk with ease and confidence (no fear and no tense blocking)." Katie has stress tested her fluency in church groups, home school co-ops, and social settings. I REALLY ADMIRE HER.
