I appreciate your thoughts about looking at your stuttering or fluency as a gift. I believe all people are created imperfect. We all have things about us that we wish were different or did not exist at all. However, I truly believe it is our perception of these imperfections that help us to either accept them or not. If you can accept yourself as a person who is not perfect, you are one step closer to contentment and happiness in your life. I also believe if you are able to accept your imperfection, then others are as well. I also appreciated your thoughts about how your stuttering may have actually been beneficial to you. It kept you out of Vietnam. You will never know what your life would have been if you had been accepted into the military. I believe there are reasons for all things.
