Dear Guy Thank you for sharing with myself and others such a moving story of your personal journey with stuttering. I find your motivation to inform and educate people in Cameroon and Africa about stuttering to be inspiring. Although I come from America where stuttering seems to be spoken about in the media, I find that it is still seen somewhat as a taboo subject. As a graduate student studying to be a speech pathologist I have become informed and educated about stuttering. However, when discussing the topic of stuttering with my friends I have noticed that many of them are uninformed and have misconceptions about the causes of stuttering. These misconceptions often times lead people to be insensitive about stuttering. After reading your story I feel inspired to like you, try and inform those around me about stuttering. Perhaps by spreading knowledge we can increase people's sensitivity towards those who stutter. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful story.
