Hello Jessica, thank you for your message. What I am saying in this article comes from my personal experience. When I read aloud, I don't stutters. I feel in normal life and it relieves me a lot. it can be considered as a form of therapy. I think the shame, fear, depression and many other things have influenced my stuttering when I was child because they are the hidden element's iceberg of stuttering. When in fact you're scared of stuttering it's there the stuttering arises. I believe that stuttering is a taboo subject in Cameroon because the policies are not interested, anyone almost never speaks in the media or if talking is for mocking people who stutter. Since we started our outreach efforts, we have already written articles in several newspapers and even attended some radio broadcasts. Despite this change, we hope that things will go better and better.
