Dear Alexandra, thank you for your question. I think there should be similarities and differences of fluency throughout languages. For example, prolongations on vowels are very common in Portuguese too, but I don’t know if this is true for all languages. Another example: filled pauses change from language to language. We certainly need more comparative research on this topic. Best regards, Sandra
