Lynn, thank you so much for sharing those thoughts with me. It was such a mixed evening. I felt proud that I got through it, talked to the kids the way I did, and made it THEIR night, not mine. But in less than 12 hours, to have my glow taken away in just a few thoughtless words, it was hard and hurt . . . . I wanted to tell him off, but I had only been on the job six months (this happened this June) and I knew I had to be careful how I responded, for I wanted to keep my job! So I said the first thing that came to mind. I hope I got through to him, as he has never said another word about it. None of the other administrators never said anything to me either, so I doubt people believed it was a poor performance, different, perhaps! :) Again, thanks for your reflective feedback here, and on your wonderful paper as well. --Pam
