Marlanna, Thank so much for the positive feedback. I actually participate in two self-help groups - our NSA chapter meets monthly, and the group for adults who stutter sponsored by our local college (St Rose, in Albany, NY) meets weekly during the semester. I activley participate in both - sometimes sharing, sometimes leading the group, sometimes listening. Participating in self-help really inspired me to start sharing and raising awareness. Also, I joined Toastmasters at the same time, and am giving my 20th Toastmaster's speech next week. So, I am doing public speaking - its fun, and something I never dreamed possible several years ago. On ISAD day, 10/22, I am planning to speak to a middle school in my district. I will teach them about stuttering, let them try it, and tie teasing & bullying in the mix, as middle school kids all can relate to getting teased. And I will stutter openly, maybe even throwing some voluntary stutering in for good measure! ;) Thanks again - your interest tells me you will be a good clinician. --Pam
