Wow! your story was so touching. I think it is extremely unfortunate that so many people are so uneducated about stuttering. I am currently in graduate school for speech-language pathology and have taken a huge interest in stuttering. I was wondering if at any point during your childhood your father sent you or wanted to send you to a speech pathologist? Do you think he believed that you were able to control the stuttering? Also, was there a specific event that made you realize you must accept the fact that you stutter and not let it limit who you are? Your story was so inspiring! I admire that you went up in front of that audience and did not let your stutter hold you back. I think it is a very brave and important thing to share your story and educate other on stuttering. Thank you!
