Anna, thanks for sharing. I have heard many SLP students talk about how they hate VS. I am working on that this semester with my student clinician. The first time she tried it with me in the clinic room, she looked very uncomfortable and admitted that she felt very uncomfortable doing it. She was very self-conscious. So it is a good experience to know how we really feel when we stutter. I agree the general public is extremely uninformed. I am talking to a middle school on ISAD day, to teach kids and the staff about stuttering, and hopefuly get some of them to practice stuttering to know what it feels like. --Pam
