I was extremely moved by your article. I think it is incredibly brave to push yourself way out of your comfort zone, and rise above other people's hurtful comments and actions. You are a role model for self-advocacy! As a graduate student in speech-language pathology, I think one of our most important roles is to be an advocate for the individuals we serve, and to help them become advocates for themselves. Do you think the support groups you have joined have assisted you in becoming such a strong advocate?
