The ability--prior to fitting--to definitively judge who would benefit from SpeechEasy use and who would not is a $64,000 question, no doubt! At present, the best way to help make such a determination (on an individual basis, at least) is to simply provide instructions, fit the device, tweak it's settings, analyze what happens, and repeat as necessary. I'm sure different SpeechEasy providers could provide various impressions based upon their clinical experiences, but none of these are arguably strong enough to automatically exclude someone from trying out the device or to support a purchase before test and trial.
