Hi, Leah, thanks for your questions. Differentiating between stuttering type was not part of our research design, so I can’t say if all types of stuttering were reduced equally or not during the initial fitting. We had quite a wide age range: our subjects were 18 through 62 yrs-old and the average wear time was 5 hours per day. Currently, the device is not recommended for children under the age of 10. We feel the SpeechEasy should be considered for children only when traditional treatment is not available or has been demonstrated by itself to be ineffective.
