I have been interested in the SpeechEasy device since the first time I observed a fitting with it. This article did a great job summarizing the evidence about the SpeechEasy. I have encountered many of the main points through speaking with the trained SLP in the SpeechEasy with whom I observed, and in my own observations. However, I was under the assumption that the SpeechEasy was recommended to children and adolescents with caution and the optimal client is older and has already been through many many years of traditional treatment. It has never been presented to me that the device should be coupled with traditional treatment at the same time. I am glad I could read this article.
