Hi Ryan and John, I'd first like to say that I enjoyed your article and found the info. very helpful. I just have one quick question: This past week, some members of the NSA came into my dysfluency class to talk about their life experiences as indivduals who stutter. Two of them had purchased the Speech Easy. They had both worn it initially, but neither one of them continues to use it today. While, like many people, they had been impressed when they were initially fitted for them, they found it too difficult to use in their everyday lives. They found it distracting, especially when they were in group settings or crowded places where there was a lot of background noise and they were trying to pay attention to what was being said. I was wondering if any of the IWS who wore the Speech Easy in your studies had similar observations, and whether wearing the Speech Easy for them was beneficial in some, quiet environments, but more problematic it other, more noisy environments.
