You’re correct that the SpeechEasy is typically not recommended for children. Please see my response to Leah above on that subject. There really is no profile of the "optimal" client for this device, but certainly many who express interest in the SpeechEasy are those who have undergone several (usually unsuccessful) attempts at treatment. As for pairing the device with traditional therapy, please see John Ellis’s response to Rebecca S. and my response to Danielle W. above on that topic. For most clients, this approach will lead to better long-term outcomes than relying on the SpeechEasy alone.
