First, I would like to say that your paper was very easy to follow and incredibly informative. I have heard little about the SpeechEasy device and as a student clinician it is important for me to know and understand any devices/treatments that my clients may be interested in. I feel that your article has given me a good base of knowledge and would enable me to effectivly discuss the SpeechEasy with a client. The part of your research that I found most interesting was that the opinions of the individuals using the SpeechEasy did not necessarily correlate with their speech outcomes. Prior to this information I would have thought that the main factor in a person's success would be whether or not he/she believed in the device. I was also interested in your research question about determining candidacy characteristics and was wondering if you have an idea of how to conduct this experiment? If so, I would like to hear more about it.
