Dear Professors: In general, is there any advantage for a boy who stutters to have a male clinican (who can sort of be like a big brother). And for a girl in speech therapy to have a female clinician. 93% of speech therapists are female. Any reserach results or evidence one way or the other? What about race and cultural background considerations? I read somewhere that there are preliminary evidence that it may be helpful...
