I totally agree with Brian's comments about parents treating in their home language. If the child speak's German as a home language and the parents are available to provide some 'treatment' at home in German why not as long as the parents can be trained, coached and the treatment in German is documented to show that it is having some impact. Your question..can working in English increase fuency in German? You will only find out if you try. I feel that there has to be some documentation of the increase in stutter free speech in all languages worked with either through the use of perceptual severity ratings, spontaneous speaking samples in both languages, etc.
