It is important that they not tell the child what to do, but that they model for them what to do. I always tell them that it is not easy to remember to do techniques so they get to see how hard it is and they can realize what their child is going through. Thanks much. Katie, I appreciate your post. It is so important for parents to have a truly productive way to help their own children, as you pointed out so well. Engaging the parents in treatment gives them the skills as well as the understanding of the process that can help them be wonderful partners with their kids. Thanks, Lynne
