Lynne, It is through common experiences that we are better able to understand each other. This is implied in the saying “Walk a mile in my moccasins and you will better understand my pain”. Your parent/family involvement ideas seem like such a great way to promote empathy. Indirectly this would ideally increase patience with their child’s progress in therapy. Have you had positive feedback from parents, (or children), to this effect? B. Nezlick, student
