Thanks for your comments. You asked, "Have you had positive feedback from parents, (or children), to this effect?" Yes, in general, both the child and parents find that working together helps the parents have greater understanding of what their child is experiencing and gives them the ability to have more realistic expectations. That takes the pressure off of the child. Some parents are not comfortable working with their child, and some children are not comfortable with this, and elect not to do this, but most do find it helpful, in my experience.
