I found it interesting to read about this different approach to therapy, with people with various abilities and disabilties. But I felt a little defensive when I read that some stuttering is a result of social anxiety. I am of the belief that that view is one of the myths associated with stuttering. People have often assumed that I am an anxious or nervous when they hear me stutter, which couldn't be farther from the truth. I find myself trying to explain that, at least in my case, just the opposite is in fact true. On another note, what do you believe about the oft-held view that stutterers can sing fluently? Do you try to build on that with PWS that you work with? --Pam
