I am a NYU graduate student and I thought your article was very interesting. I have heard about music therapy before and always wanted to learn more. I especially liked the idea that music therapy can foster a sense of confidence in those who stutter. You mention that the end goal of therapy is fluent speech, but do individuals ever report difficulty generalizing fluency from singing to speech? And, for what length of time could music therapy be recommended?
