Great questions! I've addressed specifics on fading out the music elsewhere in this discussion; browse through and you can probably find it. Also, in one of the comments I mentioned how the process of generating improvised lyrics in rhythm can often teach the brain how to generate words in steady rhythm, which is pretty much what speech is. I don't know much about using singing by itself (without musical support) to work with stuttering. I would think that if this by itself were effective, then we wouldn't have PWS who can sing fluently (which many PWS can), because the singing would have improved their fluency. Thanks!
