I think my licensure concerns are that some states, such as Texas, are very specific in their licensure laws for speech path and audiology and explicitly state that other professions may not work with speech or hearing disorders unless their licensure laws are very explicit about how a speech disorder may be worked with but that no speech or hearing disorder may be diagnosed by anyone other than an audiologist, speech pathologist, or physician. Of course, we have to throw all laws out the window to allow for practice by physicians so it can be safely assumed that they can do pretty much anything at any time without violating licensure practice laws but for the rest of us we must stay within our license guidelines and not step on other's toes. I suppose that, ultimately, my concern revolves around a music therapist diagnosing and prescribing/carrying out treatment for speech or hearing disorders without sufficient training or tools to do such work.
