Well, I should clarify, I haven't heard any thing that suggests its harmful or unethical. The only 'controversial' (maybe I used the wrong word) thing that I have heard "its not real therapy" and other sorts of those things. Like I said I am familair with drama, art, and music therapy for children with autism which is different from fluency disorders. Autism is extremely hard to treat with ANY type of therapy, but fluency disorders have better success. I haven't formulated an opinion yet because I have not formally studied this or anything and I am really quite interested in I guess you could say unconventional? types of treatment for stuttering because now that I think about it a child who is extremely interested in music might find this easier than sitting in a room with a therapist teaching them how to stutter on purpose.
