"Are you suggesting the individuals who stutter try to incorporate singing into their everyday interactions?" Oh, not at all. I've answered this question a few times here, but yes, I like how you put it that the person could think through (probably fairly subconsciously...) to how they have been able to generate fluent phrases while singing. In one of the other comments I also alluded to the CBT technique where one thinks about strategies they might use as a last resort, where the importance of this process isn't that they'd likely use the strategy, but just that knowing it's available makes one feel more empowered and in control of a situation (and therefore less likely to need the last resort strategy).
