I found your article very interesting since I am a firm believer in using music in various ways to help a person. I like the part about how music is used to have more areas of the body work together to have the brain at optimal function. I personally like to study with music on and I feel that I retain information better. I find it amazing how music therapy allows for treatment of not only motor skills but also issues such as anxiety. I think this method should be used more in larger areas. I feel it would be a useful tool in treatment and give the patient the confidence to be able to speak knowing that when they sing they do not stutter so it would lesson their anxiety and then they can move on to other methods. I liked the article and I am definitely going to start reading more on this type of therapy.
