I have spent a lot of time working in groups with music therapist and children who have developmental disabilities and mental retardation. This is where the idea to use music therapy in groups for PWS came from. I feel that any time there is a group of people who have similar issues and they can relate to one another and create a bond in which they help each other learn an cope is always positive. Like you said a group music therapy session for the treatment of stuttering probably would consists of taking turns with singing verses. I would think that it might be helpful at the end of a session to allow time for discussion of what works best for people, what they have a hard time with etc. Thanks so much for hearing my ideas. I would love to hear more about how you approach a typical music therapy session as well. Thanks again.
