I agree that walking the "path to happiness" is a choice, as are most things in life. Ellen-Marie, your article touches me, as I feel that I have not learned some things about happiness until becoming an elder! Some of us learn sooner, some learn later. Although I am not a PWS, I certainly have had my own challenges. I think I have experienced happiness most days of my life. But I do think that being an "elder" helps me now to stay in the present, as most of my life is behind me, with little left in the future. So I don't worry so much about the future, so I can spend lots of time focusing on the present! If something negative emerges - there is always it's opposite, the positive, to dwell on. Thank you for sharing.
