Carla, thank you for sharing. The paper was written not only about managing stuttering problems but about living life, since some of us with stuttering problems and some professionals who address stuttering problems sometime seem to forget stuttering is a part of life and is best addressed from that higher perspective. >>> Yes, I think it is quite true that if we become elders and fortunate enough to be free of concerns about survival matters, such as food and shelter, and if we live in benign or even supportive surroundings, we have the gift of time to reflect on and polish our approach to life. In a sense, we are like devout Hindi's, as I understand the practice, of having lived as a student, then as a householder to now live as a renouncer or forest dweller focused on the enhancing the inevitable transition from this life. >>> As you may know, releasing regrets and self-recrimination smooths the process wheresoever we undertake it, which then has every possibility of being a genuinely joyous, enlightening time! All best wishes to you. Ellen-Marie
